We spent the morning doing a flee market in China Town, after a Chinese Lunch we made our way to the South Bank for the French Festival. It was a sunny afternoon and the place was Buzzing , there were french produce stalls, and a staged performance area. The afternoon rang to the sound of French Cafe Bands , Childrens Choirs , and even a troup of Cross Dressed Hula Dancers (Who we didnt photograph as we didnt want to be seen showing an interest). The highlight was "Lola the Vamp" who removed a pair of gloves and a diaphanous sarong in a most provocative manner (other than that she stayed non-deshabille , well it was a family show after all). Fifi and David went all Francais for the event , which paid off for David who attracted a couple of French Fillies. (After their french accents slipped it transpired the pair were from Prestatyn, North Wales - what a disappointment). David and Fiona rounded the day off with an authentic Australian Punjabie Curry, which was remarkable that every two minutes the staff came up to the table to check that everything was ok, then returned two minutes later to see if it was still Ok , and then came back another two minutes later to see if it was really OK???. By the time we finished the meal and after about 8 visits we wondered if they were trying to tell us something - was the chef actually a psychotic poisoner.
