Bribie Island

Bribie Island is north of Brisbane, and is the first in the chain of Moreton Bay Islands which provide the safe harbour for Brisbane. More properly it is a sand bar secured with forest , and has a couple of small townships on it. It is reached by a bridge. on the Pacific Ocean side it has beautiful white strands of sand. This is bordered by forest , on the leeward side it has areas of magrove and creeks.
The beach was stunning and we spent the day there sunbathing , swimming , boogie boarding and playing Frisbee. The sea was FREEZING !!!!
