Shorncliffe Pier

North Moreton Bay Coastal Drive

Today we had an outing on the North Moreton Bay Coastal Drive taking in the towns of Shorncliffe , Brighton, Scarborough and Redcliffe. We walked out the pier at Shorncliffe and had a rather unfortunate encounter. The pier was covered with fishermen , and our attention was attracted to three people strugging with what we had assumed was a fish which had been placed inside a plastic vessel. We all gathered round for a closer look as they tipped the vessel towards the water, crowding in to get an even closer look , we were horified when the proceeded to pour not a fish but the ashes of a loved one into the waters of the bay. They did look at us a little strangeley!!!
